School conferences
Just a quick note, I had Lily's first preschool conference on Thursday night. Her teacher had lots of good things to say about Lily and no issues so that was good. She said Lily is a leader in the class and likes to play with the older kids who are more on her level of activity and understanding. I got to see some artwork she did with scissors and then a picture that she drew of herself. The teacher said they will do another picture of themselves at the end of the year so you can see the progression. She also said that Lily does the parallel play which is typical of her age but she also does quite a bit of interactive play - that does not suprise me with how outgoing she is!

Helping out
Here's Bridget and Lily helping Daddy wash the car last weekend on Sunday - it was so nice out! It's now more seasonal and we got snow on Friday morning...sigh....
We had a busy weekend, we went to take family pictures with Polyana on Saturday afternoon, we went up to Como Zoo to the Conservatory to take them so I'm curious to see how they turned out. Then she took more of the girls when we got home too. I'm hoping to get one I can use for Christmas cards but we'll see.
I took Sunday and went over to my friend Mariclar's house and did scrapbooking all day on Sunday so Dave had to go it alone with the girls all day. Everyone was in one piece when I got home and the house was cleaner than when I left it plus he had dinner started so can't ask for more than that!!

Bad blogger...
I realize it's been almost a month since I've updated this...bad, bad, bad....here goes!
The house is coming together. We are mostly unpacked, we still have quite a few boxes downstairs to sort through and make sure there isn't anything too important in them. But most everything has been found now and is making it's way to it's rightful place. It took us about 2 weeks to find the bolts to put our bed frame together!
We had our annual Halloween party last weekend - I didn't do as much decoration or prep as I usually do but there just wasn't the time nor the energy for it. It was fun anyway and there were lots of fun costumes. My family all made it down too so that was nice to have them get to attend one of our Halloween parties too. The girls had a blast playing with the other kids. When Lily woke up the next morning, she wanted to know if her friends were still downstairs and waiting for her...
Took Bridget in for her 18-month appt on Wednesday, she is 27 lbs and 34 1/2 inches tall. She was over the 99th % for her height and at the 88th % for her weight. She is a tall little girl just like her sister is. She still isn't talking too much (her sister mostly talks for her) but she does talk a lot more when her sister isn't around. She's trying to say more words lately instead of just pointing or signing for them. And she will run around the house yelling 'Mama!!!' which is kind of funny...we'll see how long the humor lasts! :-)
The girls had fun trick-or-treating - Lily went as a ladybug and Bridget was a fairy at the beginning of the night and a little pink monster once it got a little colder outside. We went to downtown Shakopee about 4:30 to do a little trick-or-treating there and then after supper, went to the old neighborhood too. It took some wrestling to get Bridget in her pink monster costume but once she was in there, she didn't mind too much.
